Attention non-profit organizations and community event organizers:
If you are interested in advertising to SVSU students to encourage them to volunteer for an upcoming event, please complete this form. It is recommended that you allow at least three weeks to recruit students. There is no guarantee for volunteers, but Student Life will do their best to reach out to students through various medias.
If your organization would like to have your event featured on the weekly Event Blast, please fill out the following required information.
Please take note that the number of events that can be featured on the Event Blast is limited. On high traffic weeks, priority of which events to be featured will be placed on the events that were submitted the earliest.
(Requests must be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the event in order to qualify to featured on the Event Blast.)
Request to be added to the Volunteer Agency Database
If you are a non-profit organization who would like to be listed in our Volunteer Agency Database, please complete this form. This is an opportunity to advertise consistent volunteer needs within your organization that would be open to SVSU students. Students have access to this database through our website, and can use it to find opportunities that fit with their career or personal interests.
If you have an event that is one-time and would like to request volunteers, please refer to the form labeled "Request form to advertise volunteer events to SVSU students".
Please note: The database is updated once per semester so it may take a few weeks before you are visible in the database. Also, if you are already listed, but would like to submit new information, please complete this form.
This form is required to be on file with the Greek Life Advisor in Student Life. This will allow us to release non-public information to your chapter officials for national requirements. All potential new members must fill out this form prior to being extended a bid or invitation to join. Please note that organizations will submit a list of students they are going to be extending a bid to for reference.

Alternative Breaks Experienced Leader Application 2015-2016
Thank you for your interest in being an Alternative Breaks Experienced Leader. We are looking for Site Leaders who are excited about furthering the goals of our program for the 2015-2016 school year. These individuals should be motivated, enthusiastic about volunteerism, and have a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average to apply. Simply completing this application does not guarantee you an interview. However, if you are contacted for an interview, you may be required to attend a group interview process in addition to your individual interview.
As a board, we are looking to find site leaders for winter, spring, regional, and summer breaks. If chosen as a site leader, you and a co-site leader will work together to lead a group of about ten other students who will begin the process as strangers and end as cohesive team who is educated about a social issue and has served in relation to that social issue both inside and outside of the Saginaw community.
Experienced leaders have several duties to complete the above goals. They must be available for the experienced leader training retreat, conduct interviews and select participants, facilitate meetings, organize and execute fundraisers, and more.
Please be sure to fill out all fields completely and to the best of your ability. Applications will be due Wednesday, April 9th by 12:00pm (noon). If you have any questions please contact Jason Schoenmeyer email@example.com
