Attention non-profit organizations and community event organizers:
If you are interested in advertising to SVSU students to encourage them to volunteer for an upcoming event, please complete this form. It is recommended that you allow at least three weeks to recruit students. There is no guarantee for volunteers, but Student Life will do their best to reach out to students through various medias.
If your organization would like to have your event featured on the weekly Event Blast, please fill out the following required information.
Please take note that the number of events that can be featured on the Event Blast is limited. On high traffic weeks, priority of which events to be featured will be placed on the events that were submitted the earliest.
If you are a non-profit organization who would like to be listed in our Volunteer Agency Database, please complete this form. This is an opportunity to advertise consistent volunteer needs within your organization that would be open to SVSU students. Students have access to this database through our website, and can use it to find opportunities that fit with their career or personal interests.
If you have an event that is one-time and would like to request volunteers, please refer to the form labeled "Request form to advertise volunteer events to SVSU students".
Please note: The database is updated once per semester so it may take a few weeks before you are visible in the database. Also, if you are already listed, but would like to submit new information, please complete this form.
The mascots are willing and able to make public appearances in a variety of venues and for a vast array of events. The mascots typically make appearances on SVSU’s campus, but are not limited to that space. Coop and company have made appearances at other institutions, birthday parties, high schools, and community parades. In the future Coop would love to experience such things as grad parties, weddings, fairs and festivals!
When a mascot makes a public appearance, whether it’s at SVSU or in the community, they are always accompanied by a trained “handler” that will serve as the liaison between the mascot(s) and the sponsoring agency/individual. For off-campus appearances, Coop will need a dressing room. All of the mascots have autograph cards (similar to a baseball card) that contain the mascot’s picture, autograph, and background information. These autograph cards are shared with the public at all appearances. Mascot handlers will also come equipped with technology to take pictures and videos of the appearance. These photos and videos will appear on Coop’s Facebook page, Twitter, and Instagram.
