Saginaw Valley State University Greek Life is committed to nurturing lifelong membership among the Greek community, while empowering brotherhood and sisterhood to meet/exceed the standards set by our University and Greek Life.

Vision Statement

We, the members of Greek Life at Saginaw Valley State University, aspire to be the best developmental organizations, both personally and holistically, on campus, while providing a positive image for Greek Life.

Governing Councils & Organizations

Interfraternity Council (IFC): Formally organized in 1910, is an association of collegiate men's fraternities.

Current Organizations: Phi Kappa Tau, Sigma Pi, Tau Kappa Epsilon

National Pan-hellenic Council (NPHC): Founded in 1930, is an representative body governing national historically Black Greek Fraternity and Sorority** organizations.

Current Organizations: Alpha Phi Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta**,  Phi Beta Sigma

National Panhellenic Conference (NPC): Founded in 1902, is an umbrella organization for 26 (inter)national women's sororities, each of which is autonomous as a social Greek - letter society of college women and alumnae.

Current Organizations: Alpha Sigma Alpha, Phi Sigma Sigma

Local: A sorority or fraternity that is not (inter)national recognized yet still uphold the values and purpose as (inter)nationally recognized organizations. 

Current Organizations: Kappa Tau Epsilon (Associate Members of NPC)
